Where the data comes from
GS pay rates come from the salary tables published by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Per diem rates come from the rates published by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), and the travel rules from the Federal Travel Regulation. Per diem rates are federal maximums, and your agency's policy decides what you're allowed.
Comparisons and trip totals are added up by YepGS from the published rates. They aren't official OPM or GSA products. Methods and sources explains how.
